Chocolate Strawberry Heart Candies

  1. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave. Run it for 30 seconds at a time, then stir, and run again if needed. Once they are 1/2 melted, just stir them and they will continue to melt. This way you won’t overcook them.
  2. Place the cookie cutters onto a cookie sheet lined with a sheet of parchment paper
  3. Spoon melted chocolate into each cookie cutter. Use a spoon or small butter knife to ensure it gets pushed to the edges. Be sure to hold the cookie cutter down while doing this so it doesn’t shift.
  4. Place a freeze dried strawberry into the melted chocolate.
  5. Place in the refrigerator or freezer for about 2 hours until the chocolate is hardened.
  6. Carefully push the chocolates out of the cookie cutters with a butter-knife, pushing at the edges gently.
