{"id":1872,"date":"2021-08-10T08:09:16","date_gmt":"2021-08-10T02:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/promincproductions.com\/blog\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=1872"},"modified":"2025-01-20T20:50:33","modified_gmt":"2025-01-21T02:50:33","slug":"chicken-taquitos-oven-air-fryer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/promincproductions.com\/blog\/chicken-taquitos-oven-air-fryer\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Taquitos (oven air fryer)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ll never understand how I have kids that are picky eaters&#8230; I love food&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is one recipe that I&#8217;ve found combats their picky-eater-ness every time however &#8211; so I consider this to be a &#8220;dad win&#8221;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They are small enough to hold and bite into.  They are flavorful enough for the adults to love and enjoy.  They are a way to &#8220;trick&#8221; my kids into eating meat.  And they offer some nutrition as well!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/promincproductions.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/img_5182.jpg\" alt=\"Chicken Taquitos in the Air Fryer\" class=\"wp-image-1885\" style=\"width:1008px;height:756px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tacos &#8211; sure, fine.\nTaquitos &#8211; YES PLEASE!  Crispy, tasty, don&#8217;t fall apart.  They are a favorite in my home!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I will admit that the process of making these takes a bit of time.  And the corn tortillas may break at times.  (I use corn simply because we have gluten free people in my household.  I can&#8217;t think of any reason that flour tortillas wouldn&#8217;t work as well.)  But it is worth the effort on these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other issue with this recipe is that I never make enough&#8230; ha! Toast these till they are firm and crispy so they are easy to pick up and eat.  But don&#8217;t over do it to the point that they are burnt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I use the oven\/range with an air fryer built in.
