Green Bean and Ham Saute (AIP)

Garden fresh veggies lightly sauted with a the slight saltiness of ham chunks bring your mouth to life.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Green Beans fresh and trimmed
  • 1/2 Red Onion Chopped
  • 1 cup Mushrooms Chopped
  • 2 cups Ham cooked, 1" cubes
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil approximate
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly Ground Black Peppercorn to taste, if re-introduced

Instructions

  • Coat the bottom of skillet with olive oil. Heat over medium heat.
  • Add green beans. Drizzle more olive oil over the beans. Season with salt.
  • Saute for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add mushrooms and onion and continue to saute for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season again.
  • Add ham to the pan. Saute for an additional 5 minutes or until the ham is warm and the vegetables are soft.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

  • Asparagus can be substituted for the green beans.
