Crock Pot Lasagna

Lasagna is such a great meal.  Being able to put it in the crock pot, walk away, and have a warm dinner ready for you is perfect for a busy weekend.

Prepare Meat
  1. Brown the ground beef in a saute pan. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. When the beef is about 1/2 browned, add the onion and garlic to the pan.
  3. Once browned, remove from the heat and set aside.
Assemble In Crockpot
  1. Coat the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray.
  2. Layer ingredients in the crock pot.
  3. 1 cup of pasta sauce on the bottom of the crock pot.
  4. Add a layer with 4 lasagna noodles. Break them to fit the shape of the pot as needed.
  5. Add a layer of Ricotta cheese with 1/3 of the cheese.
  6. Add a layer of 1/2 cup of Mozzarella cheese.
  7. Spoon on a layer of 1/3 of the cooked ground meat.
  8. Spread 1/3 of the pepperoni next.
  9. Blanket the meat with a layer of spinach leaves.
  10. Repeat the layering process. Pasta sauce, noodles, Ricotta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, ground beef, pepperoni and finally spinach 2 more times.
  11. Add a final layer of pasta sauce and then the remaining Mozzarella cheese.
  12. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6. The noodles should be tender.
Recipe Notes
  • Use a 6 quart crock pot
